Firstly, a warm heartfelt Thank You to the clients who came on board in 2024 and those who continued from previous years.
2024 has definitely contributed to the pivot of Purple Rain Designs, it has been an interesting year which has helped in creating the narrative for us to amend our regulations as we forge ahead in anticipation of productivity in 2025.
One of the main things we do not intend to allow to recur is the wastage in time and productivity, having to commute very long distances, in order to meet clients who are not ready to make a commitment regarding the services initially requested. We have faced challenges in scheduling such meetings which turned out to be a no follow up and total waste. Business people can tend to lack etiquette sometimes by their ability to only see things from their angle, and this will not be tolerated in the New Year 2025, hence our meet-up fee which has now been implemented.
We have fairly taken the decision not to do Business with anyone who does not see it fitting to read, sign and submit our annual contractual agreement going forward.
In addition, we will not accept to maintain any websites that we did not develop because based on the quality we portray, in most cases the site will need to be rebuilt and redesigned, hence the fee to do so, will end up being manipulated.
Ecommerce stores that exceed 20 categories, will be charged a high maintenance fee as mentioned in our revised contractual agreement, as well as sites that exceed 10 pages.
On the other hand, there is absolutely no need to seek website maintenance if you are able to do your own updates, such a combination can give birth to several issues. Letโs look at it like this, will you go to your mechanic and pay for an oil change then get beneath the vehicle and begin to change the oil?, odds are you will not. If you are paying for a service from someone in their field, allow them to provide the service. Websites are not Facebook pages where you can just upload images and text; it is a bit more complex, which is why you paid because you needed help, so be humble enough to get the required help. We do support growth and advise you to seek a course so that you will be able to troubleshoot technical errors that may be encountered whilst doing it on your own.
Your photo submission is one of the most important steps in completing your website, and the quality of your images along with related information will affect the site’s overall professional outlook. Be mindful to include all the required information, costs of items and services, so your website designer do not have to go hunting for information.
We have stretched our arms beyond the requirements to meet the needs of certain clients and in so doing observed the manner in which they received, and learnt that not every Business relationship wants to grow with you, some just want to walk over you to reach the other side regarding where they see themselves heading. When people add value to you, add value in return, connections are everything.
Overall, experience has always been the greatest teacher, and everything affects change. Losses affect change, and gain can also affect change. Bad situations can affect change as well and great experiences and expectations can affect change.
In a nutshell, 2024 has taught us that, many are still struggling with the ability to receive Greatness, which you will only get by making Great decisions, reflect Greatness, which you can only do based on what you truly have inside your heart, and grow in Greatness, which you can only do by maintaining Great connections.
People have become so accustomed to paying more and getting less so they have lost the ability to see and cherish true value. The market is overgrown with so many get rich overnight schemes that it has become the style of thinking for some service based Businesses and because they have gone ahead of us Sole Traders, people rather pay for the sake of being able to tell a friend they obtained the services of an “expensive service provider” with a bigger name. Paying for Name over Gain has plagued several Businesses who will absolutely never give the small man a chance.
Wishing you all the best in the year ahead.
