I may be two days early but the truth is the Lord placed it on my heart to write this article yesterday not today, hence the pre-Republic day post. It is not a time to be silent on certain issues.
We live in a place where it is not ok to be a certain shade nor have certain hair, schools of certain ethnicity the children are moving ahead whilst others are receiving little to no schooling nor proper attention.
The drug trade is doing well for the ones orchestrating it but the persons in our communities that are being used as pawns are dropping and being carried away every single day, numbers are just getting higher. Funeral homes are thriving.
Employment is only available for a selected few in addition to certain Businesses being supported.
Banks are stealing cash from individual and Business accounts on a daily Basis but the only ones who care are the ones with the least liquidity who will actually feel the pinch.
The court system is 20% functional, which is why protective services are reluctant to execute their duty hence criminals are taking more and more chances.
Churches have turned their back on their communities and are self seeking whilst the plans of the devil are being executed in plain sight, broad daylight.
The structure of family is far and few, every day a broken home because the world is applauding wrongdoings and sexual immoralities of all sorts.
Then there is the proud and arrogant set of society who believe they have arrived because they have been pulled into a Government Job or Business so they sit back and look upon the ones trying to gain access to this system with scorn not knowing what a great sin it is to sit in the seat of the scornful.
Mental Illness is running high due to persons inability to meet their needs and that of their households, the abuse from persons in authority and mainly from substance abuse, in addition to poor diets due to lack of knowledge and overall laziness.
Previous social distancing has bred a rare case of heartlessness and lack of compassion on all of humanity in every corner of the diaspora.
Although we were all taught to honour our parents, teachers and leaders so that our days may be long, a stench of rebellion has plagued society which has contributed to the short life spans of our youth.
The only thing that can affect our twin island in such a way that we return it to a Paradise, and can truly enjoy the privilege of being a Republic Nation, is for us all to turn away from idolism and open our hearts to the true and living God and Savior Jesus Christ.
We idolize our jobs, money, investors, spouses, children, material things, our businesses, food, things we enjoy, television, social media, pornography, electronic devices, gym, partying, substances, certain music celebrities and even ourselves.
We need to heal as a nation, everyone is on a campaign to be the leading local social media discussion and in doing so have hidden their faces from the truth in Christ.
Are we really a Republic Nation? Or are we tied up on every side with sin, selfishness and wickedness?
When would we come together as one body under the sun?
Our Country will always be afflicted by evil rulership unless we appoint someone who truly loves the Lord and cares to obey his commandments.
Until then let us just acknowledge Republic Day weekend Trinidad and Tobago as most of you would abandon your Monday duties to enjoy a day extra rest and activities of all different sorts. You will forever be in my Prayers.
Let us return to a Blessed Nation.
