What is the definition of SUCCESS

Written by Kande Murray on June 17th 2020

It depends on what your understanding of Success is, or what type of Success we are talking about.

There is Spiritual Success, Financial Success, Educational Success, All round Success and the list can go on.

Success just means “to SUCCEED” in that you have set out to accomplish, by surpassing the figures or pass marks that were set.

From person to person Success will vary because it depends on what their individual aims or goals to accomplish are.

Let’s break this down a little more… If I studied for an exam, then I wrote and passed with 90% then I was successful at it, especially if the pass mark was 85%, although I did not make 100%.

Also, if my aim was to earn X amount of dollars a month and by all means I did then I was Successful in meeting the goal which had been set, even if it was not done in the pattern as per my initial plans.

Seeking to lead persons to the Lord, and setting numbers in doing so can also determine Success or not. It depends on if you made your target or not.

I can go on giving examples of Success but the point I am highlighting is that what you deem Success, and what I deem success may not align.

Success can only be measured by the Goals and Standards we set for ourselves and our lives, and financial Success is worth nothing without Spiritual Success.

The Bible clearly says to set up our treasures in Heaven, as these cannot be corrupt.

When we pass away, all material and financial wealth has to be left behind but Spiritual Success and Wealth will be taken up with us to Heaven and eternity.

[Matthew 6:20 But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal.]

In seeking Spiritual Success we will have SUCCESS in every other area of your lives.

God Bless.
