PURPLE RAIN was a nickname that never left

“PURPLE RAIN” is not a just concept that I made up yesterday, it was actually a combination of words I am very used to, and I just added “DESIGNS”.
There is a saying; I am not sure how it goes word for word but it basically states that we need give our children names with powerful meanings as this would impact their character because this is what they will be called for the rest of their lives.
I fully understand and agree with this notation because some years ago I was given the nickname “Purple Rain” by a group of co-workers at the time and this name stayed with me over the years.
They literally addressed me as “Purple Rain” and I was also responsive to it due to my liking for Purple, it being my favorite Colour along with yellow when I was even younger, and till today.
Those of you who do not know me so long will be eager to hear why I was given this name.
No matter what was my attire, although I was mainly in black or purple I would always wear Purple eye-shadow, and a lilac and purple scarf every single day as I had a few different shades in them.
I would literally have been wearing any colour clothing, yet maintained my purple eye-shadow and scarf. This unusual trend gave me my own trademark, and at the time I had no idea that it would have become my brand in business years later.
I will never forget, a Christmas some years ago when I was given a “Purple and White” teddy bear by a female co-worker, and I also got other valuable gifts from her and others, yet this was my favorite one that year and she was also the one who initiated the nickname.
This is a clear indication also that our destiny is already designed long in advance and the Lord will set persons in our pathway to add to the journey and process.
It was only yesterday when I was given the privilege to met a client to do a website for him, we were conversing and I ended up not intentionally, recounting where the “Purple Rain” really stemmed from. So today I decided to share and elaborate on it a bit.
Not really giving it much thought previously, but as time passes I have just been adopting new Purple trends along the way when I look back. For example my Purple sweater is definitely one. I looked through a bunch of old photos and not surprisingly, I wore a particular purple sweater in over 20 plus pictures. I have not been paying attention to this for years but now understand that it was part of my Destiny Design.
Whatever may be your nickname or just something that you are obsessing over will maybe be your future business or brand.
NB: Bible says to write your vision and make it plain before all men.
Exodus 39:2 And he made the ephod of gold, blue and Purple and scarlet and fine twinned linen.
Proverbs 31:22 She maketh herself coverings of tapestry; her clothing is silk and purple.
[Purple represents royalty also, so being adorned in Purple has the biblical aspect to it.]
Mark 15:17 And they clothed him with purple, and platted a crown of thorns, and put it about his head
[Purple also represents the mocking that Jesus received before being crucified, as they clothed him in a purple robe whilst mocking him then removed it before Crucifixion.]
I hope this little bit of history is refreshing.
God Bless…until next time.
