There will be a time that the Lord will separate you from all of life’s distractions, the same ones you know as your comforts.
Your job, Church attendance, Relationship, Family, Friends and maybe even studies.
It depends on what has been keeping you from devoting yourself wholly and solely to the cause he is going to prepare you for.
When the busyness, lights and noise has gone out, then there will be more undivided focus and attention to God’s voice and direction.
Everyone will be prepared differently according to the purpose and assignment that the Lord has for them.
In Biblical days Peter was just a Fisherman, when Jesus told him to follow him and he will instead make him a Fisher of men, so he did.
Matthew 4:18-20 (KJV) And Jesus, walking by the sea of Galilee, saw two brethren, Simon called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea: for they were fishers.
And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.
And they straightway left their nets, and followed him.
I like to refer to Peter because of the fact that he was “just a fisherman”, which is a clear indication that God can and will use anyone.
Those who know and understand how God works will know that it is the anointing that enables you to do God’s work and not necessarily academic qualifications.
God recently set me to communicate to someone via social media, along the lines of encouraging them to use their platform to give God some Glory, and they asked me if I am qualified to speak about the Bible and Minister the Gospel legally, mere seconds into the conversation, then they rejected my request adding that they know God and have a good relationship with him, indicating their followers knows this. Yet it didn’t align with a few almost viral videos they posted publicly, trying to bring defamation to the Gospel.
I said all this to say, that the time separated, spent Praying, Fasting, spreading the Good News, Interceding, Worshiping and most importantly Meditating on God’s word heading his instructions, the rejuvenation of the impartation received from your Pastoral Covering and just simply having testimonies are the things that “Qualifies” you.
Kingdom work is different from secular work.
Being Separated for a Season, I can tell you that the attitude in which you make it through determines how far you can go afterwards.
